T-Cell Receptor Peptide Vaccines
IMULAN BioTherapeutics is advancing a brand new technology platform, referred to as T-Cell Receptor (TCR) Therapeutic Peptide Vaccines; or TCR Vaccines for short. TCR Vaccines are therapeutic vaccine immune modulators, so should not be confused as a preventative vaccine.
Preliminary studies have shown significant improvement in severe cases of canine atopic dermatitis (atopy, allergic dermatitis) and feline stomatitis. TCR Vaccines work by modulating T-helper (Th) cells, the central regulators of immune function. Atopy and stomatitis are immune based disorders, and the TCR Vaccines target the underlying immune cells that play a role in these disorders.
The TCR Vaccines consist of lyophilized, small peptides and are administered by subcutaneous injection.
