Canine Atopic Dermatitis Study – Veterinary Dermatologists
Background: In previous double blind, placebo controlled studies, the T-Cell Receptor Immune Modulating Peptides (TCR Peptides) have shown highly significant improvements in dogs with atopic dermatitis as measured by the Canine Atopic Dermatitis Extent and Severity Index [1]. The following study is designed to satisfy regulatory approval for dogs with atopic dermatitis. More about the TCR Peptides (click here):
Anticipated Start Date: March 15th, 2012
Design: Double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover field efficacy and safety study.
Duration: Minimum 6 weeks
General Inclusion: Dogs with atopic dermatitis that is unresponsive to cyclosporine, exclusion diets, desensitization, and other treatments.
Test Article and Administration: Optimized TCR peptide; administered SQ on days 1 and 14.
Data Capture: CADESI Form, bloodwork
Regulatory: United States Department of Agriculture – Center for Veterinary Biologics
Investigator Eligibility: Veterinary dermatologists in the United States able to recruit a minimum of 10 patients within 2 months. Preference will be given to investigators with previous clinical trial experience.
Sponsorship: This study offers financial reimbursement for veterinary evaluations and bloodwork.
