Primary Management Team

 

Craig Woods DVM, MS, MBA

Dr. Craig Woods brings a background of clinical and research experience, and years of business development and sales experience in the animal health industry. He was in clinical practice for three years and then transitioned into pharmaceutical development, holding various senior level positions in project management and business development. He has broad experience in the assessment of new technology, project management and product commercialization. He has conducted research in genetics, toxicology and biochemistry and has authored papers in biomaterials and disease modification. Craig obtained his B.S. (Biology), M.S. (Biochemistry/Anatomy), and D.V.M. from the University of Missouri and his M.B.A. from Arizona State University.

Randall Woods DO; ophthalmologist

Dr. Randall Woods worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing and pharmacy before entering private practice in ophthalmology in 1977 where he spent 13 years. Dr. Woods has been involved in product development of medical devices for over 20 years has designed a variety of intraocular implants for human ophthalmology. He was a founding member of Quest Vision, Inc., recently acquired by Advanced Medical Optics (AMO), and the founder of Magnasphere Corporation. Dr. Woods holds numerous patents in the areas of medical devices and magnetic sensor technology and has lectured internationally in the areas of accommodation. Dr. Woods has a strong track record of moving start-up companies into profitable businesses, and holds a B.S. (pharmacy) from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency in ophthalmology.

Daniel Gingerich DVM, MS

Dr. Gingerich has a strong background in research and development, having held senior positions in R&D for a variety of human and veterinary companies. Dan was VP- Technical and Regulatory Affairs for Stolle Milk Biologics, Inc., VP-Pharmaceutical Research at Fort Dodge Laboratories (Wyeth), Dir. of Animal Health Research-Bristol Myers Animal Health, and Section Head-Pharmacology and Toxicology at Pitman Moore, Inc. (Johnson & Johnson). Prior to industry Dan was an Asst. Professor, Food Animal Medicine and Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dan has published a variety of papers in the areas of immunology, orthopedics, and pharmacology. Dan obtained his B.S. and D.V.M. from the University of Minnesota, and completed his M.S. (pharmacology) and residency in large animal medicine from the Ohio State University.

Tom Overbay DVM

Dr. Overbay has nearly 20 years of experience in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. He has served as the senior business development officer for a major animal health company and has served in similar roles with a contract services provider and start-up animal health companies in the US and internationally. Dr. Overbay has successfully negotiated numerous licensing deals with universities, government agencies, human hospitals, start-up companies (both human and veterinary), and multinational pharmaceutical and chemical companies. Dr. Overbay holds his D.V.M. from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.

Brett Cordes DVM

Dr. Cordes has over a decade of private practice experience, primarily in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Cordes has a number of years consulting experience in the veterinary industry and currently focuses in the areas of business development, specialty pharmaceuticals, and oncology. Brett has experience in project management and business development in animal health, and lectures frequently in the areas of compounding pharmacy practices and policies. Brett holds his B.S. and D.V.M. from Iowa State University.
