IMULAN Forms Veterinary Cancer Therapeutics

Prescott, AZ and St. Joseph, MO. – (March 5th, 2009)   Imulan BioTherapeutics, LLC (IMULAN) announced they have formed a new company, Veterinary Cancer Therapeutics (www.VetCancer.com) to advance their comparative veterinary oncology programs and commercialize several new immune activating technologies for treating cancer.  Veterinary Cancer Therapeutics will provide veterinarians access to their technology platforms by creating a treatment network.  The company will be located at the IMULAN headquarters within the Christopher S. “Kit” Bond Science and Technology Incubator, St. Joseph, MO and will be opening a new laboratory to advance their tumor biology and comparative oncology science programs.

Dr. Craig Woods, CEO of IMULAN and Veterinary Cancer Therapeutics, stated, “Mother Nature designed the most powerful tool against cancer, being the immune system.  Many forms of cancer trick the immune system by producing factors that create a chemical camouflage and thus evade immune detection.  IMULAN is currently working on cutting edge ways of making cancer visible to immune cells, giving the patient the upper hand.

Veterinary Oncology: Like humans, dogs and cats develop numerous forms of cancer.  Lymphoma, fibrosarcoma, mast cell tumors (mastocytoma), and adenocarcinomas represent some of the more prevalent forms of cancers in companion animals.

About Veterinary Cancer Therapeutics: Veterinary Cancer Therapeutics is owned by IMULAN BioTherapeutics, LLC and was formed by licensed veterinarians with backgrounds in clinical practice, comparative medicine, and immunology. IMULAN is a leader in therapeutic immunology and recently licensed and commercialized Lymphocyte T-Cell Immunomodulator, the first treatment aid for Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.     For more information about Veterinary Cancer Therapeutics, please visit www.vetcancer.com. ###
